I am 22 and married. I am a 40FFF I am only 5'2 and have had large boobs since I was 12 or so. Due to weight gain and problems with being on the pill, my boobs have grown significantly since then. Most of the time wearing a bra hurts a lot. My bras ware out really fast so I have to buy new ones regularly. I buy 40DDD's because that is all they sale at regular stores. I'm tired of not being able to fit into clothes, buying a wedding dress was a disaster for me and there is no way I can wear a bikini even when I was thin. I'm always in pain and so self conscious. I tried to get a breast reduction about a year before my wedding but insurance wouldn't pay for it at the time. I want to have kids though. I want to breast feed too. I don't know if I should wait to get it done or what I should do. So many people have discouraged me from getting it done at my age before having kids. Any ideas, suggestions, experience with this. I'll take any thing at this point.

I had a breast reduction, from a 38DDD to a 36C about 2 years ago. I had it done because i was literally developing a humpback because i wasn't able to stand up straight. I found a good doctor who assured me that this surgery wouldn't affect my chances of breastfeeding. this surgery has changed my life...no more baggy shirts, bikinis are an option (finally!!), and i don't feel like people are constantly looking at my boobs. i finally feel proportionate.
my advice: check out a bunch of doctors. i made sure they were all board certified, had pictures and testimonies of their work, and checked the Better Business Bureau on them. I found a doctor who didn't encourage me to get surgery because he wanted money...mine encouraged me to get it done because of my health.
good luck!

Why do you buy such a small bra? That would cause even more pain! I am a 38 G and appearing to grow some more (UGH!) and I found bras at both Lane Bryant and Dillards.... You should look into finding bras that fit.... I have been told you can't breastfeed after having a reduction, and the fact that once you are done you might need to have it done again... I suggest looking online to see if you can find a bra that fits a lot better with more support... If you can only afford one that fits, it would be worth it compared to having several cheaper ones that cause more pain! I wish you luck in your decision!

Have you asked your doctor about the affect this would have on your pregnancy? if you want to get a reduction it would be best to wait until after you have children i think. I'm a 34F and I'm in my mid teens. I understand feeling so terribly self conscious. BUT LISTEN! BE PROUD OF WHO YOU ARE!! serisously. there are women out there who never get past an AA which is fine but you should only do this because it would make you happier personaly not because of someone elses opinion of how your body should look.

i'm 5"5 and 34G and trust me, i know how you feel.

i'm in australia and can only buy at specialist shops where you get charged an arm and a leg. i have a small waist so i can never get any tops to fit my bust and waist together.

it's your body, you should be free to choose what you want to do. you really need specialist doctors opinions on the issue of breast feeding.

Have you appealed the denial of coverage for the surgery?

Did they say why they denied it?

well, its really a personal decision. do, wht u wanna do but after talking to ur doctor and near ones. in my view, boobs r the best asset of a lady. one shldnt do anything to distort them. but if u really needs to do something, get a very well advice frm near ones and docs.
i know u dint get anything very important frm me, but it may reduce ur stress and also people care for u. bye-

i would really consider it if i was that size. it would really cause discomfort to carry them around. back pain problems...i find breast reduction more necessary than an implant.
