Yes there is more to life than money and people in the United States should try to discover that for their own good. It does seem that Europe has a better handle on balancing life and Europe is more socialist. I do like capitalism but not the new capitalism we are morphing into. Our government has got to start careing about the 98% middle and lower class also and the government needs to direct and regulate capitalism or we will have even more of the problems we have now

It got worse starting in the 1980s when President Reagan attacked Unions, began to deregulate and privatize the economy, reduced taxes on Corporations and transfered wealth by lowering the top tax tate from 50% to 28% and raising the bottom rate from 11% to 15%.
In the Corporate Media Reagan ended the Fairness Doctrine and there was a consolidation of the media and a dominance of right wing talk radio as the CEOs of the owning Corporations showed their true colors.
Fox News acts much like Pravda did in the former Soviet Union; the difference being in the U.S.S.R. citizens knew they were being fed propaganda, here they believe the "News."
Even the "Opposition Party"-the Democrats are ruled at the top levels by Corporate bought representatives of the Elite. No candidate calling for "Single-Payer Healthcare" (the delivery method of Healthcare in the rest of the Democratic world) can get Corporate funding (the only way to win an "election" in the U.S.) and is mocked or ignored by the media (Kucinich) or not allowed to participate in the debates (Nader in 2000 and Gravel now.)

Funny how everyone wants to come here where the hard working get rewarded and the lazy get to sleep on the street. We work hard every day for our prosperity. Socialism has created double digit unemployment in Europe and its even worse in other socialist nations. If you don't like it, fine, but I want to someday build my large estate, and drive my big Tundra, and have lots of children....the American dream thats what were all about.

Most of America is not right wing. Y/A just looks that way because of the GOP "web operation" to spread the "Republican message."

Please learn how to spell and string together a coherent sentence. Socialism is only for the uneducated. Once you get an education, you'll see the fallacy of it.
