after all hunting season is upon us

Last year, when I was still living in Mississippi,
Someone tried to break into our house.
I heard the glass break in the bathroom,
I grabbed my late hubby's 45,
walked to the bathroom,
opened the door and fired 3 shots.
I called the cops, told them what had transpired,
they never found anyone, but they did find blood outside the window.
You could tell there was an attempt to break in.
We had them happen in that neighborhood, quite frequently.
I just told them, I was in fear for my life & I was protecting my family. And that I had a license for the pistol.
I didn't even get charged for discharging a firearm within the city limits.

Just a little while ago. Have to go out and shoot at the coyotes once in a while to keep them away from here. They've gotten our barn cats before, and while I'm sure our 93 pound dog would give them a fight, she's getting older too.

about a year ago.. my dad and i used to target shoot a lot.. and he wanted everyone in the house to know how to use the gun incase something like a break in happened..
never hunted though.. but i have wicked aim..

today...hunting season doesn't really affect the area in which I live. Whatever comes onto my property, deddy shoots it. The dang coyotes almost got the dog.

It's been years now. I use to go pheasant and deer hunting with my husband. Once in a while we would shoot blue rocks too. Loved it.....

Why would I want to shoot gun? I'd rather shoot an animal.

I go to the rifle range almost every summer and shoot my pistol, my husband's pistol, and a couple of the family rifles. Just so I don't get rusty and can use them if I need to. I'm a pretty good shot, too, I'm proud of myself for it!

At least 12 years ago. I was trying to shoot a snake, I missed of course.
