Are the cons about the Xbox 360 true? Like about it being noisy, slow, and in most cases a defect.?

I've heard that the PS3 is more silent and is much faster. And that the 360 heats up and messes up games. Which one to get?

I have a PS3 and I have to agree with your cons about the Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 is a very defective console. I've heard from other Yahoo Answers users that the Xbox 360 scratches up games severely. I've played Resistance Fall of Man since February for my PS3 and there isn't one scratch on the disc and there aren't any sratches on any of the discs that I've put in my PS3.

The PS3 is very silent. When you first turn it on you can barely tell that it's even on. You have to put your ear like right beside the console just to hear it. If the PS3 gets a lot warmer, the fan will spin faster but it isn't loud.

I've had my PS3 for a little over 10 months and I haven't had one problem with it. The Xbox 360 is too defective of a console to even consider getting. Even if Microsoft extended the warranty on the 360 for 3 years, at least you don't have to worry about the PS3 having hardware failure.

I got a 360 before. Its not slow at all but it is kinda noisy and you may get the "Red ring of death" which is a hardware failure that causes your 360 to not work. The solution for that is to wrap it up in 4 towels and let it run hot for 30 minutes. I got the solution 7 months after i got rid of the system. I spent 700$ for nothing. Dont risk it with a 360 unless you get an Elite which is the new black 360 that is 10 times better than the ps3.

It is possible that you could get rrod "red ring of death" but if you do the xbox 360 comes with a 3 year warranty from the purchase date so your covered for a long time

Some Xbox360 models scratch games and microsoft will only replace 1 game...can't remember which one.
It also heats up and creates hairline cracks that gives you 'the red ring of death"
Like everything of microsoft, the xbox will give you crap.
