Coming from NYC, London is the same thing without the crime.
So my answer is no. Especially after seeing six other countries in Europe with more to see next year.
I'd rather be in Denmark any day besides London. I say that with no disrepsect to London or England...

"maybe it's because I'm a Londoner

I have relatives in London, and whilst I like visiting them I would hate to live there.
Parking is a nightmare, the streets in the urban areas are dirty, people have no time for each other and it's soooooooo noisy.
Give me the countryside anytime!

If this means do I like London
Then certainly not!
What has it got going for it? Lots of ancient buildings, impossible roads, folk who dont know the name of their next door neighbour, and dont want to know.
Folk who think there is no life outside a certain radius of the city.
It is in fact just a very large and very expensive tourist trap, it means nothing at all to me.
I have lived there, I have worked there, I dislike it a lot.

Yes, but is yes and no enough to answer about the greatest city?

In my opinion, there are a lot of worthwhile sites, but it is dirty, overpriced, and as for parking a car, you have the most horrible and unfriendly traffic wardens on the planet, and makes you feel you are invading thier city...I would rather visit Stratford, Wawrick, and the Peak district
