Including cleaning up black and white line drawings, dot to dot pages, maze pages, you get the picture. Also would like to be able to move drawings and a logo around on a colored background.

Ideally, you'd use two programs. One to clean up the graphics, like Adobe Photoshop, and another for laying out the pages, like InDesign.

The Corel suite can also do these functions and is considerably cheaper.

Any of these type of solutions will include a steep learning curve. Software only makes some things easier if one knows how to use them.

I would use Adobe photo shop for all of that. Then go to www.viovio.com and up load the images for a custom made book. You can do full color for $5.00( 9x12) plus 25cents a page and each time you order you can add or delete pages.
they have a range of sizes and the cost is very reasonable. they are out of North Carolina and you can order just one. . I have had great success with this company and highly recommend them. Be sure to all all the text first and then upload with a full bleed.
Video Professor has a wonderful tutorial for Photo shop with a money back guarantee.
