Yes they swear to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America. Most of them cross their fingers!

In the United States, all state and federal officers (both elected and appointed) are constitutionally required to take an oath of office. While states governments can (and do) add additional language, Article VI, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution requires that the oath of office include an oath to uphold the Constitution.
