A standard international letter is $1.55, so it depends on the value of stamps you have. It's usually a better idea to just go to the post office and have them stamp the actual cost for you -- you'll pay exact change.

Depends on the weight, in grams, of the envelope and its single piece of paper. You have to buy stamps anyway, so why not check it out at the post office? Likely four first class stamps - 52 cents, or $2.08, will be sufficient, but better make sure because the recipient has to pay double the postage if you guess wrong.

What is your definition of light? Go to your nearest Postal Office and weight your envelope. Or if you know the exact weight and dimensions. Go to the Canada Post website.

If you consider light to be less than 30 grams, you only have to use one stamp, just as long as it is worth $1.55 or more. But if you have domestic 52 cent stamps, you will need 3.
