how do you find the limits of this? the answer IS -1/2..but I have no idea how you approach that answer..if would be great..if you worked out theproblem

lim rad(x^2 - 9)/2x-6
x => infiniti

Divide both the numerator and the denominator by x.
In the numerator use x = √(x²) Since x is approaching positive infinity you don't need to worry about x being zero or negative when you do this division.
It will be very clear after you do this that the limit is 1/2.

factor x^2-9 to (x+3)(x-3)
factor 2x-6 = 2(x-3)

cancel (x-3) on top and bottom,

(x+3)/2
