Just tell her the truth. I kept a present I really didn't want and I've regretted not telling the truth about it. So if you told her the truth you both could take it back together and then you could go shopping together. It will be something she will still have a hand in getting for you but this way you will know it will be something you like!

I'd put it on and thank her.
It's the thought that counts, and right now, I'm thankful that she's still around to think of me.
(Then it'd be put up on the top shelf of the closet...with the stuff that might still come in handy someday...)

I would put it on, THANK her for her THOUGHTFULNESS, and WEAR IT for sure ... because ... she took the time to pick it out and personally give it to me for my birthday.
