Ha good one Kayleigh! Being from Illinois I like/hate:
"Well, at least the Chicago Cubs are trying. They installed a new pitching machine the other day. Unfortunately it beat them 4-1."

It doesn't have anything to do with the 2007 postseason, but here's a baseball joke I like. Be careful with it though, it's an antique!
Two eldery ex-ballplayers, Fred and George met in the park every day to feed the birds and talk about the good old days.
One day, George says "Fred, do you think there's baseball in heaven?".
"I don't know, George. Tell you what. Whichever one of us dies first will come back as a ghost and tell the other whether or not they have baseball up there."
They agreed, and a few months later, Fred dies. A few weeks after that George is sitting on their ususal park bench, feeding the birds, when suddenly Fred's ghost appears.
"Fred, is that you?" George gasped.
"Yes it is George. I didn't forget about our deal"
"Well, is there baseball in heaven?" asked George.
"I've got some good news and some bad news for you." Fred said. "The good news is, there is baseball in heaven."
"Well, that's good to know." said George. "What's the bad news?"
"You're pitching next Thursday."
