How do you keep from becoming angry and destructive?

First of all, I get it out physically. I'm lazy so I just usually go for a walk but running might be more effective, or a punching bag...depending on the degree of restlessness.
Then I analyze why I feel that way with all that helpful adrenaline pumping through me to help me think more clearly. What is going on? What is bugging me? Am I taking someone else's **** on?

Then I come up with a plan on how I'm going to deal with this new found knowledge b/c it's just gonna keep buggin' me until I DO something.

Anger can be a good motivator if you use it wisely.

I talk to a friend or friends I trust about what is making me restless or uneasy. I then try to mediate. But that does not always work when I am intensly restless or uneasy. In which, I go see a movie I might like.

If this is a an everyday thing, a therapist or a medical doctor that will hopefully prescribe something that will help.

I know I went through a period in which I am restless, uneasy, impatient, fast, aggressive, and as a result angry and destructive. But now I am fine. When I look back at it, it reminds me of a song called country livin' in which the lyrics goes:

The world I know.. is a world too slow
Don't move fast enough.. keep your head low
The world I know.. is a world much too slow!

Be patient, easy, and slow because the world around you is slower than u think when u r restless and uneasy.

Ms Crone, when you're feeling restless and uneasy you need to do some self-examination and determine the causes for those feelings. Then you simply go about trying to work on those causes.Eliminate those, and you have no REASON to be angry and destructive. It's that simple. LOL

By taking a time to analize what is really bothering me, if there is a reason in particular of how I feel, as well to try to find alternatives for solving whatever is making me feel restless or uneasy. The best part is to be enough mature to go further than just know what is the problem, notice that there is one and do something about it....

Unless.....

Unless you win something being in that problem, perhaps that's why a lot of people instead of doing something about their problem they just ignore it.... To take action it always requieres from you: willing to do what it takes, know and confront consecuences.

Be happy, constructive and go ahead!

To keep emotions and circumstances from getting the best of me, ( past memories) I remind myself I am stronger today. And with current things I try to have pure thoughts in my mind that cancel out the bad ones. I review how I want things to be for the next time, so when the future comes I will be able carry my wishes out. I make a goal to be happy & productive, to minimize the chances of being destructive.
If I fail, I gear up, put on my armor and go back out unto the battlefield. And take it as honorably as I can bare, learning from the harsh reality of my mistake.
I try to make the best of what I got, so I don't sit there and mope till I rot.

Getting out of the box. The more you'll try to relax yourself and 'think' about what's bothering you, the more upset you'll get, and the higher the possibility of being destructive. Get out of the situation. Air. Once you've unattached yourself from the momentary reaction, your logic will function better. If your logic is reliable, it will dictate a better approach than destruction.

It's actually quite easy if you believe in the "Golden Rule" or Karma. Treat others the way you want to be treated and remember that all the good you do comes back to you, as well as all the bad.

walking, and remembering how many people will go to bed hungry tonight. Remembering it is the most wonderful feeling in the world to give something to someone who needs it.

then doing so!
