Everytime I try to turn the switch off of the lights, it doesn't turn off.
Would it be ok to get the light bulb out while the light is turn on?
What should I do?

Pretty impractical to remove the bulb every time. Better to wire in a toggle switch. But, did you just get this car? Some cars have the lights designed to stay on for a few minutes after you turn them off (so you can get to the house door)

You can unscrew the bulb and you'll have no problem. remember the bulb might be very hot though. Use gloves or a towel.
You don't have to remove it entirely, just enough to make it go out....Have your wall switch changed.

Is this the headlights? If so, turn switch off and set emergency brake. Works on newer rigs. More info would help.
