Not trying to be glib here, Ms Crone. BUT, if you find yourself in a place that you no longer wish to be, then MOVE on. Not WANTING to be somewhere is a symptom of the fact that you may not be able to accomplish much more in that place in your life and it's time to move to the next phase in your life. It's all about learning a lesson from this lifetime, and when we're stuck then it's time to approach it from a different perspective. It IS OK to give up on a path, if the path is a dead end or you're up against an obstacle that you CAN'T overcome.

Start a new project or hobby.
If I know in my heart that I don't want to be where I am anymore, then I know in my mind that I've gotten too damn lazy and bored and let life turn into a drag.
(sorry, I'm not a change person)

change what isn't working. Move, quit your job, do something completely out of the ordinary and see how it makes you feel. Point to a place on a map and go there, jut to see what is there. Take up a new hobby where you can meet people who might be able to guide your life in new and exciting directions. Travel to some place you have always wanted to see.
Let you r heart guide you to wherever it is you are seeking to be, and it will always lead you there. Listen to it.
It sounds, from your questions of the evening, like you are feeling restless, and discontent. What is up, my friend? What is making you feel that way?
Blessings,

I will tell you that I am in the middle of doing this: I left where I didn't want to be and now I am trying to adjust to the fact that even though I had stopped trying to think of where I did want to be,fate stepped in to deal me a playable hand an now I don't have to fold, I just have to be careful how I play my cards because the stakes are very high... I don't really think it should be winner take all; I will be happy if I just come out ahead in the game so I can keep playing.

If I know something in my heart.
I send that knowledge to my head,
which sends my body to do something small, like maybe take up a course or meet someone new.
then I make more steps until that something in my heart is replaced by some new knowledge.

You listen to your heart and your spirit on how to find a way to change the situation you are in. If you dont your life will become bitter. The time is now to make things different.

First, if it was important for me to stay...I would give it a little time to see if there was a change in how I felt....or if there were changes I could make to promote me wanting to stay...Next...if I still wanted to go...I would make a decision about where I wanted and needed to go....then I would formulate plans to leave....plans that would include hurting others as little as possible....
I don't necessarily think that you are suicidal....but if you are and if "here in this life" is where you don't want to be....I would ask that you try antidepressant medicine and therapy... because suicidal people are usually very depressed...and if they survive...later they are glad they did...

I pray to God about it because I know and believe that He's the only one that can help me get through it.

Think of logical reasons why I feel that way and then think of a way to change my situation.
