i need a thesis on the schlieffen plan?

i need a really controvercial thesis on the schlieffen plan, and even some good sites where i could fin lots of info on it as well, good books too.

i just need anything other than "if the schlieffen plan had worked, germany would have won WWI" please help

The key controversy is the strength of the right wing. Schlieffen died before WWI began. His words on his death bed were said to be "keep the right wing strong". The German generals in August 1914 when WWI began did weaken the right wing, and the offensive stalled just short of Paris at the Marne river.
Was Schlieffen correct? Or would a weak left wing have allowed French troops to invade Germany.
Barbara Tuchman's "Guns of August" is an award winning spectacular book on this. Also Liddell Hart's 1930 book
"The Great War 1914-1918"

While the modified Schlieffen plan failed to be effective in the first world war, the Nazi's under new leadership, and with the speed and versatility of tank warfare (blitzkrieg) were able to succeed where others had failed.

Google the subject and you'll find tons of stuff on it. Go to your library and check out the book "The First World War" by Hew Strachan. That stuff has a lot of info.

I'm surprised one of these refined query is being mentioned in university - University I am guessing?- I are not able to think this problematic historical past query being requested in top university.
