Just wondering if I am the only one whose husband reverts back to a 'little boy' when he gets sick or hurt. You'd think he was dying, even from a common cold. It's like I have to turn into 'mommy' and wait on him hand and foot.

Also, when you are sick how does he treat you? Do you get pampered or does he expect you to go on with 'business as usual'?

Well, I think the "little boy" in all men comes out when they are sick or hurt, most noticeably with the sickness. It is almost funny the way my husband carries on. Nobody has ever been as sick in his mind and I dread cold and flu season for that reason. And yes, I do wait on him as I would my other children. But, I'm thinking, "Get over yourself, already!"

As for me, when I get sick, I don't expect him to be my nurse and I tend to get whatever it is I need, unless he offers and in his defense, he will offer to get me things from the store if I want it, but he doesn't do much else.

LOl when my husband gets sick you would think the world has ended. He is whiney, wants everything but nothing, yes he wants mommy. When I get sick it is a different story. He is the kindest person around. Not at all like it was when I was a kid. My mom expected me to get up and go about business as usual but my husband wonderful!!!!

Mine acts just like yours. When I am sick he asks if I need anything but he doesn't treat me like he expects to be treated. I think a lot of men are big babies when they are sick. My husbands favorite thing to tell the kids and me when we get hurt or something is "suck it up and take it like a man" I have told him that when he is sick. He thinks it is funny when he says it. He didn't find it funny hearing it. Luckily he does not get sick very often. I feel for you.

My husband is exactly the same way when he’s sick (frankly, I think all men are).

When I’m sick it’s business as usual. No pampering at all. However, he will help without complaining, for example by cooking dinner, but ONLY if I *specifically* ask him to.

My husband wants to go to his doctor right away no matter what's wrong with him.

He once went to a specialist because his cold wasn't gone in 7 days.

He doesn't act like a baby....he just makes everything a major production when he's sick.

When I am sick it's no big deal, I must carry on as usual but when he gets sick it;s whine and complain. He turns into a major baby. It's like having another child

I get pampered! I am very motherly when my fiance is sick, i like to take care of him and make him feel cared for and better! The best part of being in a relationship is feeling that unconditional love and care just like your Mom does!

ahh, SUCH a baby. crawling into my lap and crying (not literally) about how sick he feels. asking for water or food or medicine or attention. It's cute for about five minutes. For the most part, he does a good job of taking care of me while I'm sick, but I don't remember when the last time that was.

We both act like babies when we are sick and we both get frustrated. It is funny though because pay back is fun. All men revert to babies when they are sick.
