Fires are not political -- and anyone taking the opportunity of a natural disaster to play political games should be ashamed of themselves. There is nothing political about hundreds of thousands of people being driven from their homes.
As for the ludicrous suggestion that any one political party is to blame -- every area of the country has it's own type of natural disasters -- and fires have been part of the southern California reality for decades -- long before any given political party got control.
And logging has nothing to do with it -- if you look at a map, the national forests where the logging issues occurred are hundreds of miles north of where the main fires are.
Try doing some research before you make statements that are blatantly wrong -- and try having a little compassion for the people whose lives are being devastated in this tragedy. Anyone who uses this as a political stunt to attack others should be ashamed of themselves.

By the cons own arguements and logic, the Democrats are not to blame. Its the right-wing people who live in the affected area that are to blame--and no one else:
To explain:2 years ago when Katrina hit New Orleans, the cons siad it was the people's fault for living in an area prone to flooding, and that they had no business expecting the government to take care of them by building and maintaining levees--anddidn't deserve any disaster aid at taxpayers expense.
So--by the same logic, the cons have no call blaming the government because they lived in an area prone to wildfires. They have no right to expect the government to do anything to protect them, and this tragedy is their own falult. They are obviously a bunch of shiftless, lazy moochers off the taxpayer and shouldn't be allowed one penny of taxpayer money since they are obviously unempoyed bums who never pay any taxes.

I think you need a nice vacation.......in a padded room. Did you know that Democrats were also single-handedly responsible for Katrina, The San Fran Earthquake, The Chicago Fire, The Harlem Race Riots, and the Salem Witch trials?
Oh....sarcasm......hahah

Because they're not to blame? I'm very, very conservative, and I don't blame the Dems.
Plants grow through the Spring, dry up through the Summer and burn in the Fall. It's nature. We Southern Californians sometimes forget we live in a desert.

Before the Cedar fires, four years ago, the former Governor plead with President Bush for assistance with dealing with the fire danger in California.
Bush ignored him.

I blame the psycho path who started it all. Yeah you have good points, but no one can stop a pyro maniac. So blaming the Democrats is useless at this point.

The environmentalists have stopped people from clearing dead brush out of the forest. If you have a bunch of dead and dry wood sitting around in a fire prone area, you can't be surprised by the results.
