Will this insanity ever end?? Our country is 9 trillion in debt already, where are we getting this money?? Will China and Japan own us lock, stock and barrel when they call in these debts--our children's futures look very bleak if this kind of ridiculous spending keeps on.

If you're so concerned about fiscal responsibility, why don't you concentrate your efforts on the bloated entitlement programs that make up almost 60% of the budget, or how about all the pork that Congress authorizes? In case you haven't read the constitution, our national security is the government's #1 priority, everything else is fluff. Your concern for the $46 billion going to fund the Iraq war is disingenuous and shallow. If you were serious about fiscal conservatism, you'd focus your efforts somewhere else besides the military budget.

"Bleak" would be a welcome feeling, if "dictatorship" and fascism werent so vivid and alarming. I'd take bleak any day
over detention centers and a suspened pres. election in '08 and god only knows what more evil lurks in the west wing.

PS
the DemoCrat control has only been since 2006. The neoCon republiConArtists were the leaders in charge, in command, for five years, long before the Dems got there. This crisis is laid right at the feet of the Fuhrer and his republiConArtists. Make no mistake about it.

PPS
"Striker" below here is perfect example of the fascist idiot mind out of control, bigoted, and obviously stupid.

It's 46 billion 'borrowed' dollars. I keep having this feeling that Bush is totally mad. I mean 'King George' mad! It would take a demented man to think there actually is that much money available for a war that's already lost. Maybe even Cheney is afraid of this guy now, or egging him on so he can be removed. Cheney's not above doing that...the man is as cold blooded as Dr. Evil. Think of it...a mad man and a sociopath at the head of 'our' government! It give me the creeps!

I think it's payday for Haliburton (and Cheney). They keep playing the 'support the troops scam-line'. Congress is so wimpy they can keep making the scam work.

I wonder if Bush will ever go after the guy who is responsibe for killing 3K Americans on 9/11?

Hey once WJ Clinton reveals where he hid the 2.3 trillion missing from the Pentagon budget maybe we have a chance.
He also put us in debt with the damn Chinese.
Dov Zakheim was CEO Systems Planning Corporation 1987-2001. He helped Clinton sell missiles?

then he became comptroller of the Pentagon 2001??
AG Gonzales had been investigating him.
Whatever the war chest needs I support it. New vehicles and better armor. More troops in Afghanistan, may be Caspian Sea if we send a bomb message to Iran. US knows where the plant is ... just one and what the Pres of Iran does is ?? He is pretty crazzy.
YES.

Perhaps You prefer to spend billions more to try and defend this country if we lose. Providing the funds to finish the job is far better than having to spend more to enlarge every police force in this country to combat terror cells. We have been lucky not to have to deal with bombings and other tragedies. Not to mention the honor involved in insuring those who gave their lives for this country did not die in vain like Nam.

I say give the president as much as he needs to win the war in iraq. While we are at it lets also give him funding to take on iran and north korea. My only suggestion is that we could save some money in future wars against terrorists and terrorist supporting nations. We just tactically nuke them out of existence. Thats it, you support in any way, directly or indirectly any form of terror acts against our country our troops or our allies----we vaporize you and all of your people without mercy. End of problem. It is too bad we cant tactically nuke all of you wacked out bleeding heart vegan tree huggin libs... Thats just my opinion....
