I bought a dell 700m in Dec 2005.

My hard drive recently failed and my boyfriend took it to fix it but he lost it.

Now I don't know what kind of hard drive to buy and replace!! I tried a ATA-6 but that didn't work. I tried an Ultra ATA100 but that didn't work either.

Do I have to buy it from Dell? They don't have any on their website.

Please help i really need my laptop to work!!!

Hi. It should be a standard IDE drive. http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/dell-inspiron-700m-pentium/4507-3121_7-30984342.html
