Yes, unfortunately that's normal, even more so if you tore or had an episiotomy. I had that feeling for about 5 days after my two sons were born (I didn't get an episiotomy but I had to get stitches since I was scratched inside as they were coming out). The hospital gave me a squirt bottle to use instead of wiping with toilet paper, so I found that squirting lukewarm water on myself as I was urinating would help take the sting away. Then I would squirt myself with water when I was finished and blot with toilet paper. My postpartum nurse also said I could spray myself with Dermoplast (found in any drug store) which is like an anesthetic and should numb the area a little bit. I never tried it though so I don't know how well it works. Don't worry, the burning shouldn't last too much longer. Congratulations on your baby!

Very normal. Even if you didn't have a tear that required stitches, you may still have little "rug burns" The burning is just your urine stinging on these little burns. My advice is to drink PLENTY of water to dilute your urine. If this is the case go and drink a couple glasses of water and you shouldn't feel the burning any more. If this doesn't seem to help you call your doc in the morning. but I bet drinking more water will do the trick ....And congratulations.

Completely normal if you had a tear or episiotomy. Not only was is burning when I peed but it would gush out and I couldn't hold it, so it would come out super fast and hurt a lot.
That's normal. Just watch out for symptoms mentioned on your discharge instructions. If you don't feel any of those, you should be just fine! If it really bothers you, bring it up to your doctor. Although, the pain should subside by then.

Yes that is normal you have to understand what your body just went through. You have to heal from having a baby and the normal process is 4-6 weeks. No it should not burn for that long but it does take time for things to start feeling normal.

It's normal. I didn't tear at all when i delivered and it stilled burned when i went to the bathroom. Warm water in a spray bottle helps a lot. Drinking lots of water throughout the day will dilute your urine and it wont burn as much either. I hope this helps, it helped me. Congrats on the baby boy.

Use a squirt bottle filled with lukewarm water and squirt yourself off with the water as you are urinating. This helps alleviate the pain. Urine is acidic and it is probably getting into the areas where you tore or were cut for the vaginal birth.
On the other hand, you might have a urinary tract infection, so call the doctor and mention it right away!

yes this is normal, especially if you tore or were stitched. Did the hospital not give you a bottle? I was told to use a squirt bottle and squirt each time I peed with warm water to help keep urine from hitting and ease the stinging- although it still hurts- it is much better.

Yes. Call your doctor and ask about a spray to use to deaden the nerves. The pain is even worse when you have a catheter and pee for the first few times after they take it out...bad memories.

This is because of your cut or the episiotomy that is still not healing. This is normal, when you pee just open legs wide and lower your butt to minimize the flow of pee in the perineum.

Yes it is normal - this is why the hospital should have given you something like ural - stop any infections - and the acidity of your pee. You should be able to get some from your chemist
