I really love the name, but Lila may be a little close to Layla and the two might get confused. But yeah I really love the name and it is on my list of names that i might choose when my time comes to become a mommy. Delilah Rose is what I like!

I think it's really cute. The only thing I don't like about it is, Lila rhymes with Layla. They sound too much alike. I suggested Delilah for our 2nd and my husband shot it down immediately. We're having trouble agreeing this time around.

The name is beautiful ... but I wouldn't use it at the moment BECAUSE of the song. It's gotten very popular, given the new-found publicity, and will seem quite dated I'm afraid. Still a lovely name, however.

Regardless of all that, I wouldn't personally use Delilah/Lila with Layla under any circumstances. That's just far too similar for my taste. Layla and Lila are nearly the same name! If you absolutely want a "song" name for this daughter as well, I'd look to Georgia, Iris, Matilda, Eleanor, Mariah, Clementine, Flora, Alice, Angeline/a, Charlotte, Cecilia or Lucy (I'd avoid another L, personally, but this isn't nearly as similar as Lila). All from well-known lyrics. ;)

Delilah is a very pretty name; only problem is when you put it with Layla (my name by the way) it sounds like you're rhyming, which is cute; only Layla and Lila are really cutting it close.

I don't like the name personally and the nickname Lila is too similar to Layla (which is a pretty name and a great song by the way!). I can see where he is getting his inspiration from though and obviously likes the L sounding names but those are just too similar I think.
What about
Dilara
Eliza
Ella
Karly
Zahli
Myla
Scarlett

Hope that helps! Best of luck.

I LOVE THIS NAME! and i was just wondering if I'd find this name among all these questions. I told my husband if we ever had a girl i wanted to name her Delilah and call her Lila. If you have a girl you should defiantly name her Delilah!

I like Delilah... however, I don't think you should name her that if it's only after the song. Name her Delilah because you like it.

BTW, Lila is too similar to Layla (which is beautiful), imo. I'd stick to Layla and Delilah.
