To help Children?

Of course i would expect people to look into any charity before they donated. This is a good one though. Is it worth it to you to skip that Latte tomorrow in order to help a Child?

Please no rude replies. Im asking you Christians/Jews/Muslims/Buddhi... and anyone else to help please.
They also have a great Halloween box for helping collect money. Thank you everyone.

Stephen K, you can look into the public records for this organization. They use their money well. I check these orgs before i donate.

R U Randy, i tried to report myself but it wont let me. I will give you best answer if you will please report me. I know that this is against guidelines. I just felt it worthwhile to post this question.

Sarahbla- i understand what it is to need. I really do. I wish your family the best and i hope things look upward for you. Because i grew up quite poor is why i understand maybe how these children who literally have nothing at all need our help. This isnt meant to be rude, but unless you are at the library you have enough money for a computer and the internet. Is 5 dollars really too much? I grew up when my family brought in about 400 dollars a month. I felt very poor as a child. When you look at how much some people in our world live on 400$ is more than they make in a year. I am sorry to those who feel offended by my solicitation. R U Randy should be getting it deleted here soon. Thank you to those who had it in their heart to help.

Nope ... $5 is just about right. that's what I gave this morning.

You know, you aren't supposed to be asking a question like this. It's soliciting and that's against the guidelines. You should do the right thing and report yourself right after everyone has read your question and gotten their cash out, all ready for donation.

sure, sounds good, but people also shouldn't make you feel bad for not giving to these charities. five bucks may not be a lot, but i TOO have money situations. i live in a trailer with my husband and 3 kids and we're fighting to stay afloat. christmas is coming and i cry at night wondering what i'm gonna do! then i have people who try to make me feel guilty because EVERYONE has five measly dollars to spare. i understand you, i do. but understand that NO, not everyone can give so don't make me feel guilty or anyone else if they just can't afford a dollar, or 5 or 10. i do what i can! i really do. even though i need i still donate to the salvation army around the holidays!

Spending money on helping kids is One great thing that we do in life and 5 dollars is NOT! to much you can never spend enough money on kids. If its Really helping them then even spend MORE then 5 dollars, there are a lot of people out there that think that you'll be sucked into a warp whole and they'll want more and more and more and increase your pay but Who cares if they do? This is going for a good cause in place not to be hard think of it What if my child was out there all alone eating out of trash cans and there's nothing you can do about it but give them money, i think we all would and in a way We are all related to one another even if you don't believe in god we all had to come from the same place and i think that people thinking oh i cant be related there skin color is different is a bunch of bologna Because we all Are We all originated from one place from one spot in one period of time idc if you believe this or not but 5 dollars on a kid is a great amount of money just to help a little bit.

I think that most people are willing to give up something to help another even though I sometimes wonder if my donations actually go where I want them to. I prefer actually give to someone I know needs help rather than to a group when the top executive receive $100,000.00+ salaries

There are groups who solicit and collect for a cause and then give the cause a very small percentage as low at 10% and I do think that is wrong.

I've donated well over $1,000 to St Jude's Children Hospital this year, I know they are a reputable foundation so it will make a difference to the poor ill children.

I'm a christian and I would donate 5 dollars. You never know it could save a child's life. It would make me feel good as a person that I'm helping someone else.

Nice thought, but I'd rather donate through the Red Cross or locally through the United Way.

Sometimes $5 or less is all people can manage. But,
remember that it all adds up. Just think--it's important
for the children.

I didn't even click on it.

First, SPAM is not allowed on Yahoo answers.

Second, it's never just "$5" - that is very misleading. I don't believe for one second that you're only soliciting one time $5 donations from people.
