Well, superboy, I think that there is enough evidence or lack of it to tell us that there is no such thing as a ghost.
Possibly what is happening to you is a waking dream. As far as the creaks in the dorm, that doesn't mean anything.
I really see nothing out of the ordinary here, or anything that can not be easily explained.
You could schedule a visit with a psychologist or psychiatrist and see what they say.
Note: They are not going to support your theory about a ghost, just so you don't get your feelings hurt. But they will explain to you what is most likely happening.

Why? Because the majority of people does not have similar experiences. This doesn't mean that the person who does is crazy.
I believe ghosts are real. They are often young people with a strong mindset, who have died all of a sudden. Especially with strong mindsets and cruel deaths, I can imagine that 'something' is left behind and picked up by some talented people. I am not saying that ghosts walk around and laugh at living people or take things away from their fridge. No. But I do say that the emotions that come together with sudden deaths can remain somewhere for a long time -> thus the stories about haunted houses. I think that ghosts appearances are emotions and the memory that a person had of him/herself before he or she died.
Some people, especially children, have the talent to pick this up as a ghost appearence. Most ghosts are that of children, seen by other children ('the shining'). The idea that ghosts could speak sounds strange to me, because they are not people, but the idea that you could see them sounds credible to me. There are just too many people with these experiences. Most ghosts appear and disappear, and usually stay in one place.
In societies where there is no strong belief that this is real, the child may think his experiences are not relevant and he may thus lose its talent. However, in many south-american or asian cultures, the child can learn that he or she can do something special and develop it.
Science doesn't really help here, maybe not yet. My question was: how can emotions and memories of dead people be stored? A friend of mine (very rational guy) wrote: "There is a memory left behind by everything we do, and every thought we have. Our science has not yet discovered a missing element in the universe, and this mystery element is consciousness. Consciousness permeates everything, and it transcends time. Consciousness is energy, and it vibrates just as radio or light waves. It is most likely to be picked up by someone or something that vibrates on roughly the same frequency."
Ghosts appearances are widely studied. A good practical book is: 'how to hunt ghosts' by Joshua Warren. The title seems sensational, but the writer takes a very scientific method to study these appearances.

It's because your delivery needs a little work. You need to tell your ghost story realistically, e.g., from the vantage point of someone right there. Don't say things you couldn't possibly know as an observer. The credibility suffers. Also, devote a little more effort to describing your reactions to the ghost. That will also help with the believability. Just some advice. I like a good ghost story.

Well since Yahoo! feels this "pseudoscience" section needs to be in the real science section I will give you a scientific answer. Ghosts cannot be subjected to the scientific method. Therefore they are not science. As such, scientists do not take it seriously.

Well I question your account because in my research of parapsychology and other paranormal phenomena I have studied (fairly extensively) the subject of Urban Legends and at least parts of your story match one very famous one. Also, your actions as I posted in the first answer do not seem to fit the situation.

Ask a serious question and you will get a serious answer. Your previous question was riddled with silliness--sobbing Spanish woman, tapping and weird feelings = ghosts.

People have a hard time believing anything out of the ordinary especially if has never happened to them. Don't worry what they think. Tell the spirit to go onto the next part of life, some spirits do not know they r dead , so might have to tell her.

Why are you trying to get people to take you seriously? It serves no purpose for people to take you seriously, because people taking you seriously doesn't legitimize what you saw. What legitimizes what you saw is your encounter you experienced. You are your own witness, so screw what other people think. Now I ask you, does it really matter whether or not people take you seriously?
P.S. I'm not attacking you and saying you are delusional. What you described isn't just possible, but probable.

Like you said, you were doubtful before until you saw it. Most people have to see to believe. If you want to get rid of it start praying for it to go away or hang up some rosary's. Otherwise they're usually harmless.
