Because I find if I type incorrectly on here then the rest of my spelling goes down hill. Why not type in full? It really doesn't take that much longer. Some peoples' grammar and spell is so disgusting you can't understand a word they say. It makes you look more mature and sophisticated when you spell correctly, rather than ignorant and juvenile.

There's a spell check so you might as well use it.

If they are really wanting an answer to a question.. it would be nice if the people who are trying to give advice could read what is being typed......I dont think that everything has to be perfectly typed...but the way some people spell and the fact that they do it on purpose is just stupid.

I understand the use of Internet/texting slang (lol, ttyl, and so on). But when someone posts a question and you have no clue what they are talking about, it is ridiculous. It makes them sound ignorant, simple as that. It makes me almost nauseous when I see a girl who is asking questions about sex, but can't even spell "pregnant". No, this isn't English class, but I believe that whenever you speak, even via the Internet, you should use proper grammar. Otherwise, you look like a moron.

Because if you're grammatically challenged (be it intentional or unintentional) it might not carry your question across as you might intend and need it to come across to those of us on this thing we here call "Yahoo Answers".

I know that i've come across questions that were so horribly written that NO ONE could answer but to say "huh, come again, re-write your question, etc".

I usually type stuff right because it's a habbit. I don't really care if people spell stuff wrong but sometimes people are like "me nd muh h0mi3 h@d $0me seckz l@st nite does u think im pr3gn@nt?"

i dont know i want to know the same thing.
its not like were writing an essay or anything and usually people who type really fast tend to have the errors. but ive read some questions and answers with typos and commn sense i can firgue it out!
i guess theres folk on here that have the time to use spell check??

because they were prob, yelled at when younger when they messed up on spelling, or English. :P i know i dont care haha. i mess up all the time im just to lazy to click spell check or to verify if i spelt it correct haha. but another thing is alot of people who use the internet dont understand the internet lingo, such as brb= be right back, ppl = people, ttyl= talk to you later, bbl = be back later, or even bak, people are like huh whats that? guess it all depends on how long they actually are on the internet to understand the lingo and what not.

Because not everyone can understand what you are saying. Like not everyone knows that ppl is short for people. And sometimes we wonder what the heck is going on in your head that you can't spell it out.
