i applied for a job at the movie theaters a few months back when i was like 4 months pregnant and they just now called me to come in for an interview (if i was still interested) which i am because i worked at the movie theaters like a year or two ago and its really fun. So what are the chances of them hiring me when im 7 months pregnant?? i dont have to work, but im bored out of my mind staying home and i want to do something and make a few extra dollars. Do you think they'll still hire me..i have alot of experience because i worked there before so i know they would take that into consideration. And when i do give birth, im just gonna need a few weeks off then im sure ill be back working again..so what do you think? what are my chances? serious answers only please..thanx

I believe you have a 50-50 chance. It all depends on the person doing the interview. Of course they would never tell you that they are not hiring you because you are pregnant, but that doesn't mean they cannot invent some other excuse. However, I would still go to the interview, wear something bulky, and think positive!

Sorry, but they most likely will not hire you because when you leave in a couple of months they will then have to go through the hiring process and that takes time and money. They have to pay to post ads in papers, internet (On some sites), train the new person, etc. They can't tell you that they won't hire you because of the pregnancy, but they will come up with a reason. Enjoy the last couple of months and get as much sleep as you can. If you are bored after baby is born, then apply with them again.

I'd say it is worth giving it a try! Be positive when you go in for your interview, try not to worry about their looking at your belly or knowing that you are pregnant, because, it is obvious by now I'm sure.
Good luck! I hope that you get the job. I just stopped working 2 weeks ago and I know what you mean about being bored! Confidence, positive attitude, and experience is a good indicator to me!

They probably wouldn't hire you because you will have to stop working soon and they will have to find someone to replace you while you are gone so they may as well hire that person in the first place. You won't be bored when the baby arrives. Good luck, but I wouldn't hold my breath on getting the job

I personally wouldn't hire a 7month pregnant woman. Not to discriminate, but its just impractical. I'd have to train you and then in a month or so you'd have to go on maternity leave. Then I would have to look for a new employee, then its training all over again. Sorry, I'm not trying to discourage you to not go, I just don't want you to get gour hopes up. But who knows, you might do so well that your pregnancy wouldn't factor. Good luck!

My opinion is if they really need to fill a whole then yes they will. But they may not let you come back after the baby. And to tell you the truth you will be off atleast six weeks. Remember in a little while you are not going to be bored. Not all babies sleep all the time and you will be tired from healing and not sleeping as well.

They can't legally not hire you because you are pregnant... And they can't ask you about the pregnancy... There is a chance that you could get the job... Tell them you would like to work before and after, if you choose to discuss the pregnancy

Let me be honest.. they can't discriminate, but they will. My sister had a very hard time getting a job while she was pregnant... and when she landed a job, she didn't tell anybody until she was showing. They winded up "laying her off" a couple weeks later. So she decided to wait until the baby was born to go job hunting again. But maybe you'll have better luck.

A lot of places are hiring for seasonal help right now anyway. If you aren't due till the new year, you are an ideal canidate.

Well it is illegal to discriminate, but they might not want to hire you and find some other reason not to. But I would definitely go for it.
