return it and get a new one or somethin'. There is one warning of why it might've popped up. It could have overheated. That happened to my auto teacher.

The problem is very likely a hardware driver such as the display driver, USB driver, audio driver, etc.
The problem is typical of (and endemic to) Sony Vaio Vista-based laptops. I had an identical problem hours after buying mine, though I didn't take it to the Geek Squad. The problem, in my case, was a faulty display driver that shipped with the Vaio.
All I had to do (and this may work for you) was go to the Sony website and download and install *ALL* the latest driver updates for my model. The newer drivers fixed the problem. Try this link: http://support.vaio.sony.co.uk/downloads/updates/updates.asp?site=voe_en_GB_cons

Wow - the blue screen already. (By the way - I would not let anybody from the Geek Squad near my computer). It could be something they have done. However, without the precise stop code you are getting at the blue screen it is impossible to tell what the problem may be.

you can do any number of things:
1) return it, get your money back
2) exchange it for another laptop (who knows? maybe its just that laptop you have is screwed up)
3) get the geek squad to just reinstall Windows or get a friend who knows about computers to reinstall it for you
