I think you should get a PS3 without a doubt. I got my 60GB PS3 in January and it was totally worth it. The PS3 is a reliable console and won't overheat so easily like the Xbox 360 and the PS3 doesn't have hardware problems. I seriously don't know why people keep buying Xbox 360's when the hardware problem hasn't been solved yet. I wouldn't risk spending almost the same amount of money for a 360 Elite when you can buy a PS3 and virtually never have to worry about it breaking down.

The PS3 has: Bluetooth, Blu-Ray drive, Web browser, Free online play, built in Wifi, digital camera memory card slots, and the 20GB, 60GB, and 80GB PS3's will be backward compatible with PS1 and PS2 games. Basically like you said the PS3 comes with all you will ever need.

The PS3 is the console with the most potential for future gaming and the Xbox 360's limit has probably already been met, but the PS3 has so much more power to show.

There are a bunch of killer PS3 exclusives coming out in November, December, and early next year. Just to name a few games: Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted Drakes Fortune, Tekken 6, Killzone 2, Haze and more. Plus there are good PS3 exclusive games out right now like Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm, Warhawk, and Rachet & Clank Future Tools of Destruction.

The only games that are worth playing on the Xbox 360 are Halo 3, Bioshock, and Gears of War and the PS3 has way more games worth playing and more exclusives on the way.

Just consider that microsoft is getting all the Rights from different companies to make good games xbox360 exclusive. PS3 games are going to go downhill.
Microsoft has even gotten the rights for GTA IV.
Its still going to ge availible on ps3 but the xbox360 version is going to have lots of extra downloadable content and is being produced on the 360
It will also be dropped on the Xbox360 first.

To me xbox is just better. I have had all of the PlayStation's, except this new one. Yes i have had the red ring of death once already, but to me it is worth taking the risk. The on-line is awesome, something Sony will not get right for along time. Yes you get a blue ray player with a Sony, but who knows who will win the format wars. Just boils down to what you like brand wise. Sony or PlayStation. I happen to chose Xbox(more games), just look at how many exclusives Sony has lost over the past year. Devil May Cry, etc......

The X-Box is for if you want to be happy right now. The PS3 is so you'll be happy in two or three years. It's simply immediate gratification versus happiness in the long run.
