I love his wit & honest humor. I happened to catch him on the morning news yesterday with Al Roker & he was talking about how all the cocaine make his teeth grind & you could see it if the tape of one of his shows. Apparently, there's gonna be a "50 years of Carlin" package coming out on DVD? I didn't catch the entire segment. I DO love a man that can make me laugh for as many years as he has & I didn't even have to ask if we could get naked in order to get that laugh!

Carlin and Richard Pryor, the best of all-time. One of my favorite bits from Carlin: "all of my sh*t is 'stuff' and all of your stuff is 'sh*t'". Another one, on parental discipline: why would they send me to my room to punish me? All of my stuff is there!
George Carlin is one of the most intelligent comedians ever; I love the way he plays with words and their meanings. "What is a word that sounds "dirty" but really isn't? Kumquat...heh heh." "Why is there no 'shenanigan'?' Why does there always have to be more than one? Shenanigans."

Absolutely. Went to the same school as George did (the one that wouldn't let him in). He's a real nice guy and never was too good to come back to the old neighborhood. I still have friends that see him (I moved away too).

It's a tie between him and Pryor
Carlin is a very keen observer of the human race and he's funny as hell......always was
I can't choose between the two but I think that they are in a class of their own

Some of his material is mildly distasteful, but I like most of the stuff. Compared with other stand up comedians though, I would vote for him over anyone else.

I agree. He gets better as he goes on. Heck, I remember Al Sleet, the hippy dippy weatherman. :)

He's great. One of my favorites is: Two guys are in an elevator, one guy farts. Everybody knows who did it.
