You may need to go to a program to improve your English first. Have you taken TOEFL Test of English for Foreign Language speakers? Most US universities require it for foreign students. There are programs at many universities with 4 week increments to improve English. There is one near Chicago, in River Forest, IL at Dominican University. Some programs are on the college campus, but not run by the college and may not give college credit, but can help improve your English and your ability to get into an American university.
