Guild Wars?

If you buy guild wars factions but don't own the original prophecies can you still play as all the original classes

I already own wow and am looking for a different game

If you buy Factions you will have access to 8 classes. The 6 'core" classes that are on all three stand-alone games and 2 'Factions Only' classes.

The core classes are: Warrior, Ranger, Elementalist, Monk, Mesmer, Necromancer.

The Faction only classes are: Assassin and Ritualist
And FYI the Nightfall only classes are: Dervish and Paragon

You won't have access to any of the skills that are "Prophecies Only" but you will be able to use all "Core" and "Factions Only" skills, which are quiet a few skills actually.

As you add extra games you gain access to the exclusive content of each game. It is entirely possible to create a character that knows EVERY skill in the all the games. (But be prepared for a VERY long amount of game time for that.)

Yes. Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall are all stand alone games. Prophecies is the original and it came with 6 core professions, Warrior Ranger Monk Necromancer Mesmer and Elementalist.

Factions has those 6 plus 2 additional ones, Assassin and Ritualist. You can create any profession combination you want from those 8. If you enjoy factions, you'll probably want to buy the other 2 games as well. It will open up additional content and more skill choices for you.

ya but u will have less skills.as a stand alone game its still worth it though.the guild wars series is far better than wow.the pve is getting better all the time and the pvp is the best on the market.

Im not sure but dont get GW I know you don't want to pay a monthly fee but you will see why you should buy WoW if you do i really dont like GW I own it and hate it im sorry to say
