It is ok. Though Gracie sounds either like a child's name or a hick's name. Like Gracie Lou... Your little girl will have to sign professional documents with her name, i'm not sure Gracie is the way to go. As some others suggested Grace may be a better alternative and you can still call her Gracie! Geneva is cool but it all depends on what both you are your husband like, don't let him pressure you into a name you are just picking for him. Personally I think Geneva Grace flows well, i'm not big on the whole alliteration thing to begin with though. And even though picking out middle names is fun it is really the first and last name you really have to think about in terms of flow and pronunciation. What is going to make life easiest on your child when it comes to those things! Good luck with your search.

Very cute - and it's great that you guys compromised! Gracie actually sounds better than Grace with Geneva because of the amount of syllables in it. If you're concerned with trendiness though, Gracie is really popular right now - you could go Geneva Grace instead if you wanted a more unique name. Gen, Eva, Gennie, Ginny, etc. could be nicknames for Geneva.

But anyway, congrats and good luck on the baby (Gracie Geneva still sounds very cute)!

Names are so personal. It's hard to come on here and put your favorite names out for display and critique.
But remember that your style is unique to you and these names may hold special meaning to you or might be favorites from when you were a child. These are connections that no one here should be given the right to sever.

That said, I like the name Gracie as a nickname. And I think that if you use it with Geneva "Geneva Grace" sounds better somehow.
If you are willing to go with the older form of Geneva, "Genevieve" perhaps Grace Genevieve.

But, this is just my own opinion. And what sounds good to me might sound hideous to you.

Name your child what YOU like :)

I am not thrilled by the sound of these two names together. You said that your husband likes Geneva, do you? My husband had some ideas with names and I felt so obliged to use one of them. In the end I went for names that we both liked as I noted he did not feel obliged to spare my feelings when he did not like a name. Yes, we waited until the last day at the hospital to finalize the first and middle name. Good luck to you and congratulations. Oh, almost forgot I do love Gracie and Geneva is OK. if it is not with the former.

Grace Geneva would sound better.

You can call her Gracie as a pet name but I think Grace sounds better for a given name (especially when she's an adult) and it goes better with Geneva.

Or swap them round. Geneva Grace is pretty.

I love the name Geneva! I'd prefer the formal name of Grace - Gracie will be cute when she is younger, but not as an adult.

So, Geneva Grace is a good name. Also a nickname of Gigi is cute!

I also like Regina Grace, with the nickname of Gina..

I like it.

However, I'd suggest the 'official' name be Grace Geneva or Geneva Grace. That gives her a bit more of an option when she is older.

I worked with a gal named Geneva. It's a very pretty name and very uncommon.

I love the name Grace, but not Gracie. ...It sounds too much like a nickname.
And I really like Geneva, too! I think it's very pretty and underused. ...I say, "Go for it!" ...I think Geneva Grace sounds beautiful!
Do I like Gracie and Geneva together?...not really. ...It doesn't seem to have a nice "flow" or ring to it. ...But it would depend on your last name.

Good luck!
