That would depend who the "him" was? If it was any of my x's then I would turn and walk away. If I was to break up with my current boyfriend, I would hold him one last time as often as I could.

I have no hers that I need to hold one last time so I guess maybe if there is a him that would like to hold me for the one first time that might work lol

I am a her so I can not answer, but I like this question a lot.
I wish that there is at least on person in this world that would answer yes to this question -

The question reminds me of my mother, who passed away in May. She died just two minutes before I got home for a visit. I was devastated that I could not hold her one last time.

It depends on the conditions of our parting. If it is an amicable parting I'd hold her. Anything else, Id leave her standing there.
