If you have a breast lump which needs to be evaluated, a mammogram can be done fairly safely during pregnancy. Usually, a doctor would ask for an ultrasound first. Many times, an ultrasound can evaluate a lump and a mammogram is unneccessary. If you do not have any signs or symptoms, a screening mammogram should be deferred until you have delivered your baby.
Your uterus, and therefore your baby, would receive very little, if any radiation, when you have a mammogram. X-rays do not fly all willy nilly around a room. X-rays are highly directed beams of radiation, which only expose the body part we are imaging.
"Special care is taken during x-ray examinations to use the lowest radiation dose possible while producing the best images for evaluation. National and international radiology protection councils continually review and update the technique standards used by radiology professionals.
State-of-the-art x-ray systems have tightly controlled x-ray beams with significant filtration and dose control methods to minimize stray or scatter radiation. This ensures those parts of a patient's body not being imaged receive minimal radiation exposure."

Obviously, you need to talk to your OB/GYN, especially if you do have a breast lump.

No, screening mammograms are not done on women who are or may be pregnant as there is a risk of exposing the fetus to radiation. If a physician suspects a problem with your breast, there are alternate imaging methods, such as an ultrasound, which does not expose the fetus to radiation.

not necessarily there can be many reasons for this. The mammogram was inconclusive or your mum may have moved. Generally they will do a needle biopsy to confirm if anything is wrong.

Unless you have a very good reason (i.e., suspect some major problem with your breast) I say a resounding no way.
Any type of x-ray, oral medication, alcohol, even over the counter meds are a big no no. For the next few months, whatever you do, protect your child from unwanted toxins and contaminants.

If you think somethings wrong, then yes. Even if it's not major.
I knew a pregnant woman who thought there might be a lump in her breast (even though she was changing due to the pregnancy) and went to the doc anyway because she didn't take it lightly. Turns out she was right and had breast cancer.
Don't take matters lightly with your body. It could cost you your life.

If you have signs of possible breast cancer, mammograms are done sometimes during pregnancy. They aren't done routinely for screening during pregnancy. Here's a website about checking for breast cancer during pregnancy:
