Some ppl forget that a dog is an animal!! Think bout when they were in the wild. Hunting 4 food its fun and games a dog is a dog. Keep the fish away from him and if its pet mice then those 2!!

Your Dog is actually a cat caught in a dog's body
Since cats eat fish and mice, nothing you can do except keep the fish out of kitty's reach. Same for the mice if they are also pets.

Could you pls. clarify the situation? Are these pets, or fish and mice in the wild? I have a yellow lab, and she LOVED to hunt moles when she was younger. She also still loves fish (and practically every other food known to man or woman, as well...such as carrots, yams, squash, corn, peas, and other veggies). We give her salmon and other fish when we cook it, and when we take her to the ocean, she has a grand time with all the ocean delectables. I believe in and trust animals' natural instincts. Far better that they eat fresh meat and veggies on the hoof, than commercialized kibble, I think. I'm sure no one else will agree with me, but come on: hot dogs? versus fresh fish??? I know my choice. Sometimes dogs will also crave seafood, fish and seaweeds if their thyroid is low, so have your dog's thyroid function checked out. Some breeds (like Labs) are much more prone to this, and at much younger ages than others.

sounds to me like your dog is a hunter. where does he get the fish? raw or cooked. Can't hurt him. Bears, wolves, etc. eat the same. Mice...not sure. Could have rabies. Not good. Where is he getting them? Put our humane traps and re-locate them elsewhere. Find the nest and re-locate it as well.

sounds like a reptile is not for you. All reptiles need UV lighting or they become very very sick. They are expensive animals to keep PROPERLY (note that word - many pet stores will sell you cheap set ups and end up killing the animal slowly) You cannot feed snakes on insects alone it is not a suitable diet for them. why not try goldfish? They make great pets and my last ones lived for about 7 years. I even taught them to eat from my fingers! You need a filter for the tank and goldfish pellets which are better then flakes as they dont make as much mess :)

My old dog used to go "fishing" all the time in my parents creek. She lived to be 15 so it obviously didn't hurt her. Be careful with mice though in case you are poisoning them. I dunno if it would hurt your dog but be careful. Hope this was helpful.

Leash him. Teach him the "Leave it" command with hot dog bits. Don't let him eat the fish, in particular, since if they go down tail first, he could lacerate his esophagus and do major damage.
