Bush is by no means my favorite, though I did like his father. Carter was too much a huanitarian to make a good president. Hated him in office, understand and admire him now. Clinton was probably the smartest since WWII, a Rhoades scolar. But he will never live down the Monica Lewensky affair, lying to everyone. Nixon, well what can I say? He really was a crook. Reagan started out good but lost it along the line. I think Alzheimers was taking its toll in second term. I hated Johnson at the time of Viet Nam, as well as a good 20 years after. But, now, the more I have studied him the more I'm inclined to admire him the most. I also admired Kennedy and remember the showdown with the Russians over missiles headed to Cuba. We came so close to a full nuclear exchange. Also disliked Eisenhower to head the ETO in WWII. But he was a good president and there was prosperity with him. I won't comment on Truman. I was simply too young to take notice. But, there is an obvious pattern. Those I like most out of recent presidents, with the exception of Johnson were ex military. Nixon was military as well but AG stateside and Bush II in the Texas Air Guard to avoid real military service. Not that it is bad to join the Guard to serve. We need you! And of all the 2008 contrenders only McCain a combat vet. Should he last to the election, I will vote for him. I only agree about half the time. But I admire and respect him as well as trust him to best deal with Iraq, Afghanistan and whatever else may come. I'vote against my own interests and beliefs just for his experience, honesty and because I trust him.

You probably want to hear a yes vote, so yes. He was the worst President ever. Somehow, not everyone got the word. Can anyone imagine seeing a US President order the deaths of 1.8 million people and say he did it to protect our nation?
1.8 million people against Mr. Bush. Come on America wake up!

Maybe among 12 year olds. I can't speak first hand on presidents before Kennedy, but in the last 50 years Carter was the worst. The rest of America agreed with me, they threw his stupid liberal butt out of office the very first chance they got. How can any sane person think 10% unemployment, 20% inflation, gas shortages, and hostages held by Iran for over a year are not signs of incompetent leaders? George Bush took us to war, yes, but Iraq and its people are better for it. To the dummies who think it was about oil, gas prices are precisely where they should be, gas is not expensive. 35 years ago it was $.30/gal., and houses were $20K. Everything went up, gas no more than anything else.
Todays libs are still as stupid as they've ever been.

If we voted on who the worst President is tomorrow, G.W Bush would win but Lyndon Johnson who expanded the Vietnam war and Nixon who continued that war would be just about tied for 2nd place.
All three costs millions of lives but G.W. Bush will have generations to come paying for this war.
Bush sends kids right out of high school to war when he did not even show up for his Air National Guard Duty

he's number one!
it will be fascinating to see how the tranformation happens between his govt and the next.
there is now open speculation that immediately after leaving office, bush and cheney will be taken into custody to prevent them from fleeing the country before being held to account for their numerous crimes...
