Do you think you're the only one who's not perfect? We've all got imperfections. And that's okay. A tree with several knots and crooked limbs is still a tree. Even though it has faults, it's a one of a kind tree, and beautiful in its own right. Who's to say you're not all you should be? Who's your judge? I don't know if you believe what the Bible says, but it says that only God has the right to judge you. And since the Bible says He created man in His image, I can't imagine that He made something that was imperfect. What makes you think you're imperfect is the fact that you screw up, once in a while. Guess what? You're not alone...we all goof up. So you're not perfect. No one's expecting you to walk on water, are they? Acceptance comes from within. If there's something holding you back from accepting who you are, then you have to find out why you feel this way. What's holding you back? You got three eyes, 12 toes, can't walk & chew gum, or have a disease that causes you to do socially embarassing things? You can't help how you were born, but you can accept what you have just by realizing that being different is okay. I know I'm not perfect, and that's okay. I've accepted that fact. I embarass myself sometimes. I screw up. I disappoint people, even those I love. I say things that upset people. There are even people who won't talk to me anymore because of something I've done that they can't forgive (even though I tried to make things right). Even the nicest person in the world screws up, and they'll tell you they do too. So, you're in good company, my friend. Just relax. You're fine the way you are. Besides, if there's something you CAN change, then change it. Otherwise, just do what you can do. Live and let live. <*)))><

Accept yourself as a unique and fascinating member of the human race. The old saying ''you don't know what you've got till it's gone'' is so true....imagine if you were disfigured in an accident or lost a limb....you'd probably spend your whole life wishing you could just be how you were before, which is how you are now, if that makes sense. Just be satisfied and grateful for what you do have. Everyone is beautiful in their own way, everyone has some quality that's endearing and unique to them. I sometimes like most girls start obsessing over my weight or the fact my hair isn't as straight as I want it to be. But I remind myself to be grateful for what I do have...I'm healthy, I can walk, run, drive, ride horses, move furniture...I could be a lot worse off. Stop worrying about what you could have/be and focus on what you do have/are.
And remember, nobody is perfect. Perfection does not exist.

But I am. I am perfectly me - I am completely different from anyone else and I am unique on this earth. No one else has my DNA, I have a unique position in my family.

This is not arrogance, only the total acceptance of who I am - the perfect me. All of my life experiences have combined in a unique way to make me who I am - I can accept that as a very good thing and embrace my life or I can spend it wishing I had done something (maybe several things differently).

I choose to accept, no, embrace who and what I am. The perfect (but quite possibly unfinished) me.

You don't have to. Unless you are talking about purely physical conditions. If that is the case, you just do. There are certain things you can do to make yourself feel better if you are hung up on physical challenges. Most of those things start on the inside though... self esteem, self perception. Do productive things in your life daily and just watch your self esteem grow. IE... workout, do yoga, eat better, play some kind of sport, etc.

If you are talking about personality traits, then make an effort to change and know that you can do what ever you want.

No one is perfect. The word should be banned from existence. One should embrace their differences as special or unique, not imperfections to be judged or mocked. Who is perfect? Where is the person you are measuring yourself against? One of the fake freaks in Hollywood? One of the starved on the cover of fashion mags? You are perfect for you. I am perfect for me. Would you want to be a cookie cutter person, my "imperfections"are why I am so different. Accept yourself for what and who you are, do not continue to beat yourself up for what you are not, or compare yourself to another, be you and be proud of it.

Some people find acceptance through a relationship with a higher power.

There is no perfection. The word 'perfect' is a verb. What do you do if you believe you are not fit for a purpose for an other? Do an other good.

The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.

You should not. I do not accept myself for my flaws; no one should be content with themselves. If one becomes contented with life, or forgives their wrongs, they do not make an effort to change that.
