Do you turn around and walk out, or do you order a sandwich and pray one of his coarse little beard hairs doesn't fall into your sandwich? It may be rude, but it grosses me out too much to eat. I want my sandwich to be prepared by someone who is clean cut. I also prefer a woman to a guy.
and preferrably female.

In my chain of Subway restaurants, you cannot have facial hair unless approved upon hiring, and it has to be neat and covered with a net. Also, I cannot help but to have a rebuttal for some of these answers. SUBWAY does have an "active" crew. Atleast the 15+ stores in my owners chain. We all have managers and assistant managers. Plus EVERY Subway that I have ever been to, there has been a manager. It isn't an employee owned store, so of course there are managers. Plus there are owners, and the World Headquarters, and District Managers, and Field Agents(which are Subways own little health inspectors) and the local health inspector, and every Subway has these, not just my chain. Women are cleaner than MOST, NOT ALL men, but yes, more vindictive. Some people need to check their resources before they post on here. You should let the World Headquarters know about your problem, their number is on the napkin. AND YES SUBWAY HAS TO WASH THEIR HANDS AND PUT ON GLOVES!!!!!!! EVERY TIME!!!!

When you go into a place like that you should look for a customer service number to call. In some places it is a rule that you have to be clean shaven. Subway is one of those places that does not have an active crew. There is no real manager to enforce the rules.

Every time you go out to eat you take your chances.....The only sure fire way to get no hair and possible nastier things than that is to not go out and make it at home instead. I check everything and honestly if you really think about it it's easy to find just as scary things in your local stores food as a restaurant. I had a dead fly in a Turkey Hill green tea bottle that was sealed and someones rotten broken tooth in my coleslaw from my supermarket.....Still trying to get the settlement from that .

Well, that's what I eat food I prepare myself - it's cheaper and healthier anyway.

And I've worked in the food industry with women, and in my experience, they are MUCH more disgusting than men in their habits (just sneakier about it), so don't think a female preparing it is some sort of magic bullet to cleanliness.

They are also more vindictive and more likely to spit in food etc; women I worked with would spit in a guy's food just because they thought he was fat or ugly or looked at them too much. Generally guys only spat in people's food if they were very rude or demeaning.

you know i have to agree with you, i am pretty sure that once of the legal requirements of all food service emplyees is a neatly shaven face and some kind of a cover over the head. I am not 100% sure but i would surely check the lawas in your area, you might just have a lawsuit in your hand!!

that's stressful to get an exact foot long roll. All they could desire to be stressful approximately is the quantity of meat, cheese and so on. I worked in a Steak/Hoagie(Sub) shop and each so often while the rolls got here in the massive wasn't lots bigger than the small. We merely placed the terrific suited quantity on it. To me it is stupid.

I'll spy on my sandwich to make sure nothing goes into my sandwich besides the meat and the vegetables.

If the person grossed me out that was going to make my sandwich, I wouldn't eat it.

At the Subways in my area, they are supposed to be clean shaven. Also, Subway does require gloves too.

I would leave and come back later when maybe someone else was working. That kind of stuff really grosses the heck outta me.
