" “The Law of the Sea Treaty is one of the defining issues of our time. Are we in favor of increasing the power and authority of the United Nations and its subsidiaries at the expense of American sovereignty and vital interests? Or are we opposed to world government, particularly the one envisioned by LOST, charged with implementing a hopelessly outdated and counterproductive socialist and redistributionist agenda from the 1970s? Republicans – starting with their presidential candidates – should stand with Ronald Reagan in rejecting the Law of the Sea Treaty, its threat to our sovereignty and its socialist agenda.”
Gov. Huckabee noted that two of President Reagan’s closest associates – his National Security Advisor, William P. Clark, and his Attorney General Edwin Meese – yesterday published an op.ed. article in the Wall Street Journal making clear the basis of President Reagan’s rejection of the Law of the Sea Treaty."

No, he is not pro-illegal.
" * My number one priority is to secure America's border.
* We have to know who is coming into our country, where they are going, and why they are here. We need a fence along our border with Mexico, electronic in some places, and more highly-trained border agents.
* Those who are caught trying to enter illegally must be detained, processed, and deported.
* Illegal immigrants already living among us who commit crimes must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and incarcerated or deported.
I opposed the amnesty bill that was defeated by the Senate in June. I support the $3 billion that Congress recently appropriated for border security."

Great question and why would anyone think we would agree. After checking the committee it's 9-8 democrats. Biden is chairman with notables of BOXER and her husband, Obama, Feingold and menendez. It would be a good question to ask Obama. Could this happen. Thanks for the information and as my friend in Dallas tells me Huckabee is the man.
This time the republican voters have a choice without the old money.

A lot of treaties go against the constitution. Technically, it is unconstitutional for the U.S. to belong to NAFTA, the WTO, the United Nations, etc..
Something to think about, international law says international waters are just around 12 miles off the coast of any country. The U.S. honors that law while other countries don't. Countries from around the world fish in waters just 12 miles off of our coasts but the U.S. doesn't do the same to other countries.

Perhaps, in the last days, a foreigner will arise to lead his nation in righteousness consistent with God's word. He, that leader, will shame America and bind America's feet forever.
It would be best for America to elect a righteous man, an upright Christian to lead us (if such a man could be found).
To be shamed and humiliated by a man from a lesser nation, a humble man, an intelligent man, who work God's magic and put us to shame rightfully!

If like Ronald ,he loves and believes in u.s., he ought to do nicely.

I hope he is the Republican nominee. He sounds like a guy that will build the fence and kick out the illegals. My kind of candidate.
