Please help me find an equation to a slope intercept form from these points. It the y=mx+b?

If you have two points, you can find the slope between them using the slope formula, m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1). Once you have the slope, you can again use the slope formula to find the equation of the line in slope-intercept form. For example:

m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)
m = (-1 - (-4))/(-3 - (-1))
m = -3/2

m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)
-3/2 = (y - (-1))/(x - (-3)
(-3/2)(x + 3) = y + 1
-3x/2 - 9/2 = y + 1
y = -3x/2 - 11/2
