Absolutely. It's good on many levels. It gives you good experience for your resume, and lets an employer test you out as an employee. When it works out well, many employers LOVE to hire their interns upon graduation. It allows you to actually DO something rather than reading about it, and to decide IF you're interested in continuing to do that type of work. It exposes you to the real world and can send you back to campus in a better position for learning, having seen the real world.
