They'll probably take turns sitting someone out. So all of the possibilities that you mentioned are in play. Don't know if the Rockies will throw a left-hander during the three games, but that would be the obvious time to give Ortiz a day to rest his knee.

That is a good question consdering all three are key contributers. but i would imagine youk sits. ortiz is too valuable in the playoffs and lowell is not only a great hitter, but in my mind and many others the best fielding 3rd baseman. If this happens youkilis will come off the bench for a pinch hit.

Ortiz at first, lowell at third, youkilis in right.

Put Ortiz at 1st. Bench Lugo, and move over Pedroia from SS. Youk plays 3rd and Lowell plays SS. Or some other combination of Pedroia, Youk, and Lowell on 2nd, 3rd, & SS.

the second possibility will most likely be what the bosox will do.i don,t think they will sit 120 rbi,s ,youkillis has been hot lately but lowell has been consistant all year and don,t forget lowell played in the national league(florida marlins) so he has some insight on what to expect. No way big papi sits that would be the shock of the year if he did.Youkillis should be a great bat as a pinch hitter.

It'll rotate with Lowell, Youk & Papi each getting a day off. Unless they really need them all in the line up then JD Drew may be sacrificed but they haven't done that even once this year. Hopefully it won't make a difference.

Choice # 2 for 2 games, choice # 1 for one game. There's no way they'll take Ortiz's bat out of the lineup.
