Some good riffs or bridges are:

"Crazy Arms"--The Ray Price sound that the late Jimmy Day gave to all of us

"Danny Boy"--I especially like Johnny Cox's version on that as well as "She Thinks I Still Care" . For something a little different you may want to try and find Harlem Nocturne which is pretty when done with the steel as the primary instrument.

"All I Have To Offer You Is Me" on Charley Pride's recording. The steel work was done by the fabulous Lloyd Green and both the intro and break are good riffs.

Of course if you are somewhat advanced then I would suggest working on "Steel Guitar Rag" Leon McAuliffe's version and "Panhandle Rag" using Buddy Emmons version or Hal Rugg's version.

Any of the Ernest Tubb recordings that feature Buddy Charleton, Lynn Owlsley or Buddy Emmons.

I name specific recordings or players because I truly believe that their version of it was the purest and most beautiful ones.

You can go to Bobby Seymour's website and listen to his many clips from his cd's and maybe find something there that you like. If you are interested I believe that he sells the CD's on the site as well. Here is that link: http://www.steelguitar.net

You may want to go to Jeff Newman's website and see if he has some clips that you can listen to. He used to have them at http://jeffran.com

I hope that I have helped you with this answer. Good luck and keep on steelin
