1969 Hippies have more than a few years before they all die. More than a few before they retire too.

Are most of the college professors today about 60 years old? I'm thinking not. I'm thinking they weren't hippies at all. I'm thinking that most college professors today (they won't admit this) were disco dudes in white leisure suits a la John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever.

They want you to think they were hippies because they know how uncool having been disco dude is. Photos of them while in college will remind you of the Brady Bunch and Jackson Five more than of John Lennon (early career) or Jack Kerouac.

Historically, throughout all time and in all cultures, academics (such as professors) have tended to be more left of center than right. Some of us consider that fact and wonder "why were the smartest people of all time more liberal than conservative?" or "what was it about the extreme conservatism of the most despicable leaders of all time made them so evil?"

Not at all!! Most of my professor are down to earth, normal people. Different majors such as psychology, philosophy, and generally the liberal arts tend to have more of these types of teachers. It depends on your major and your school.

Hell no. College tends to make you more liberal - something about meeting new people and learning about different cultures.
