answer doesnt have to be right
i thought hydrogen..
but i need other examples to test.

Hydrogen would be the predominant gas; but because of the extensive foaming/efforvessence, possibly some HCl gas may be freed from the acid and certianly some water vapor could also be evolved. If the magnesium had some impurities such as phosporous or arsenic you might form a little PH3 or AsH3.
