Why does it matter if this dumbledore charecter is gay? Its not like the charecter goes into in depth homosexual actions.....

I have a 16 yr old daughter and I read the first 2 books to her and then I would read the rest as they came out including the latest and we always go to the movies together.
I love the books and the movies and I don't think it matters one bit if he is gay or not. These books show children the true power of imagination and gets them reading and can bring parents and children together.
I have a few friends who think it is a bad thing to allow children to explore witchcraft through these books (against their religion) but the truth is it is just for fun and we need to enjoy it for that purpose. Did you ever hear that superman or wonder woman or batman was bad for you? No, and the truth is it wasn't an entirely different world like Hogwarts it was a singe mainstream person with super powers. Parents today are over thinking a good book.

It doesn't People are just so stupid about this Gay Rights thing. I personally think if people want to be homosexual then let them, we cant scrutinize people for what they want.
So to answer your question it doesn't matter but it does help the Gay Rights because its shows use that a huge character that has respect just happens to be gay and thats fine.

it doesnt really matter in the story.
its just that christians who already didnt like her books are gonna like them less;
but at the same time, showing that someone as respected as dumbledore is gay can be considered a step in gay rights.

thats what i said it shouldnt really matter its not like shes going to go back and do the books over so that people no that he was gay and people should just get over it and move on with their lives
