According to a post on the conservative website WorldNetDaily, retired U.S. Army Major General Paul E. Vallely claimed on 3 November 2005 that former Ambassador Wilson "mentioned Plame's status as a CIA employee over the course of at least three, possibly five, conversations in 2002 [one year before she was allegedly "outed"] in the Fox News Channel's 'green room' in Washington, D.C., as they waited to appear on air as analysts," that Wilson "introduced Plame at cocktail parties and other social events around Washington as his CIA wife," and that her working at the CIA was "pretty common knowledge" because she had "been out there on the Washington scene many years."[24] If Plame were a covert agent at the time, Vallely said, "he would not have paraded her around as he did."[24][25][26] The conservative political blog RedState reported that Lt. General Tom McInerney (USAF Retired) said that Joe Wilson also "boasted" about his wife's job with the CIA to him while they were waiting in the green room at FOX News.[27][25][28] These claims contradict the 28 Oct. 2005 Office of the Special Counsel indictment of Lewis "Scooter" Libby, which states that "At all relevant times from January 1, 2002 through July 2003, Valerie Wilson was employed by the CIA, and her employment status was classified. Prior to July 14, 2003, Valerie Wilson’s affiliation with the CIA was not common knowledge outside the intelligence community."[29]

Plame gave up her "covert" status back in 1997 and has had a 9 to 5 job at Langley ever since. The statute of limitations for outing a covert CIA agent had expired when Bob Novak first mentioned that Plame was an employee of the CIA. Who told Novak? Well it wasn't Scooter Libby. The leaker was Richard Armitage, former Clinton staffer.

Yeah, and we were all lead to believe that this was the biggest scandal ever......until tomorrow came along.
What a total joke these people were. And are.
The movie? Nobody's gonna care. It will be a non-issue then, like it is now. I'd say it was sad but frankly I thought Wilson milked it for all it was worth. The only other thing I can say is that thank god I don't have to see his mug on the Sunday talk shows any more. Although he was good for a laugh.......Joe, come back!

Couldn't you see Dick Cheney's halo glow when he was asked if he was involved in leaking Plame's CIA status? That halo was the only radiation emitting element coming out of Nigeria...He was so stupid when e-mailed from some "Mr. Mombuto" from Nigeria about getting uranium for only $50 Million US dollars, he bought a halo for Scutter Libby and Bush too.

yeah, i'm sure they planned the whole thing. her getting outed illegally by the bush white house. losing her job with the cia because her husband wrote an article criticising bush and company. sounds like just the kind of thing the sneaky left wingers would do. manipulating the poor dumb white house into acting like the megolomaniacs they are. yeah. i'm sure it's all their planning. dumb question. dumb answer.
