Oh yeah, Federov.
Why do these teams continually dole out the big bucks for players whose careers are coming to an end.

No way dude, I don't mean to slight ya or nothin but the most over paid player in the league is easily that slow a$s lazy head case bum in Vancouver. Markus Nalund 6 million. 6 million for a guy who skates like he has a piano on his back, this lazy player only has one shot. Naslund lets a slap shot go 3 times a year. The goalies and teams know his game too well, he sucks! Fedorov is one of the games best all round players. Not a great scorer anymore but still a very well skilled player and a hrad guy to beat one on one. Defensively he is a dynamo to be honest. Gonchar has scored more goals than any other d man in the last 4 seasons. Both are at least somewhat effective.

adam foote certainly does not deserve the 4.5 mill nor does fedorov (although when he signed that contract he WAS worth the money) McCabe is another as is Theodore. ( wish i could make 6 mill watching a hockey game. damn good seats too)

NOOOO. It is Jose Theodore. He gets 6 million a year to ride the bench. That is 1/7th of the total salary cap to do nothing, or to be a chipmunk when he does play. Maybe next year I can get the avs to pay me 6 million to sit at home and watch because theodore might as well.

Come on people McCabe is making 7 mil. Does it seem like he earned a quarter of that in the last two years?

Good point Laying Low. I wonder how many goals Yashin has scored on his own net this year?

Dustin Penner for sure. The amount of years he has played in the NHL and the numbers he has produced don't match up with the big bucks that Kevin Lowe is willing to give to him.

Once again, Jose Theodore, he is the 4th highest paid goalie in the NHL, but he is a sucky backup, he's making almost 6 million a year to sit on the bench.

Scott Gomez. The rangers are paying 10mil this season for him and next season he's making 8mil..This is for a guy who gets around 60-70 pts
