I associate Serenity with a bladder control pad, but I love the name Serene.
Ella is nice.

I love the name Ella. It's very adorable and fitting for when your child is any age. I like Serenity, but I don't think it makes a great first name. It's too unique for that. Consider "Ella Serenity" as your little girl's name. It's adorable and you get something that's more practical (Ella) and something that's unique (Serenity).

I love the name Serenity. My best friend's name is Serenity and nobody teases her name because of TV commercials... its a beautiful name :) i think ella is a bit too old fashioned but thats just my opinion

I love the name Ella, it's very cute and beautiful! Serenity is ok, but I would never name my child that.

Ella is lovely, assuming popularity isn't a concern. You might also consider using it as a nickname for something like Eloise, Eleanor, Elinora, Ellen, etc.
I'd avoid Serenity at all costs, to be quite honest. It is a well-known brand of adult diapers CONSTANTLY running television and print ads, so her classmates, teachers, friends' parents, etc. will be well aware of it. It just seems that if you can type a given name between www.com and end up with an entire site dedicated to incontinence products, it might not be the best name choice. Don't take my word for it!

I really like both those names I thinking about naming my daughter Serenity Nicole but decided on another name at the last minute

I like Serenity, but it is the name of an adult diaper....
Think Ella or Ellen would be nicer.
