We get them every year out here. Where I am we just get the smog, but in the hills are real problems. People know this when they move into the fire areas yet still they do it hoping against hope. Wild animals terrorized and standing at the edge of roads not knowing where to go. Driving with a wet cloth over your nose and mouth to breath. Lots of stuff that makes up this life of ours out hyar in the wild and woolly West. Add an earthquake or 2 and a sometimes volcano and life is complete. We love it out here. Beats the crap out of a tornado or hurricane.

I live in California, in 2003 we were evacuated. But this year we weren't evacuated. But you cannot step outside because the smell is really bad. We just built a home and are have been building it for two years, and we are about to move in, and the fire was right across the street. But thank God it is okay.

Thanks for asking DC. I am cooped up with the windows closed and no AC. Ashes are falling and the air is turbid. I'm a severe asthmatic and this situation is worse than the recent Zaca fire It was the second biggest in Ca history and this one's beating it.
We don't have enough money to fight the fires because we're sending it all to Iraq. Don't get me started.....
I appreciate your caring and I pray for all. Tink

Look here God is in control it is only prayer that can safe obscurred situation ,fire is a destructive organ that does not know the person who sets it on. No body can categorically say who was affected.

Yeah, the air reeks of smoke when I go outside. It's so windy today too. I hate fires.
