They were going on a pilgrimmage or trip to see that big church i can't remember the name right now. but i remember my teacher mentioning that a priest was murdered there and it was like a holy spot or something because of it. but they're on a pilgrimmage the way people today go on a pilgrimmage today to that same church and how people of Islamic faith go to Mecca.
